You were able to surprise completely, there was a lot of help. I’ve been relatively successful in selling myself for 5+ years, and I had already known some things, however, I added new approaches that are elementary when you think about them, but for some reason we do not often use them. Really!
In verbal communication, I have intuitively approached in the similar way, the written offers, based on the field, used to be more technical and, therefore, more complicated than ever needed.
I decided to apply the knowledge gained at that moment to the big bids just in hand. The sample run resulted in 3/3 (three out of three) and very positive customer feedback. It was much easier to decide and choose a partner, and one of the customers responded very unwittingly (to the question of whether to conduct a meeting and look into the issues raised) that it was not necessary right now (before the start of the co-operation), since all the questions were already answered in the quotation.
The sales skill has improved, and its impact is mostly felt in everyday conversations with customers, where more questions were added to the previous one, which can help you to input more or prevent further queries at a later stage. Therefore, the change in thinking has begun and this is a big step!
I would definitely recommend such an approach to other companies and sales persons. Instead of putting emphasis on classic sales training, which teaches you to be even more close and confuse the customer with complex words, every self-respecting salesperson, representing industry, should consider how he can help simplify the decision-making process by talking about his product / service as it is and what the customer will gain from it.
If there’s something in the field of sales, the belief into what I’m completely changing, is a thorough and elaborated approach to systems that simplify and create leverage. There must be a good product / service but also a true personal emotional approach and the ability to present them to clients efficiently and to striking effect – exactly in that order. We commissioned the Lavii’s in-house training to brush up our SEO and SEM strategy. The whole team was very happy with the training – we gained a lot of knowledge, but there were also specific tips for future guidance. The main reason I want to point out is that instead of “measuring 9 times and cutting once”, with you it meant “measure once and cut once”, so the process was much faster due to your experience, and the very first things offered were suitable and required no adjusting. Maybe, if you had chosen a less expensive partner, then, all in all, “measuring 9 times” would have appeared more expensive in reality.

In cooperation with the Lavii, we have conducted a series of practical homepage training sessions for companies in both Tallinn and Tartu.
